An amethyst macro today, I made it out of the kitchen at least ;)
edit to add - I shoot with a Fuji S7000 so I only have the one lens, but it has a macro and a super macro setting which work really well. I used the super macro for this shot.

Very cool. A nice stock type of shot.
More angles, a bit of shadow and some Gaussian Blur and we have an enntry for the abstract challenge.
I had no idea you used an s7000. That was the camera I had before the Pentax. You do fabulous work with it!
Great shot - nice and crisp with good color. Would think maybe a shallower DOF would really make this even better though.
