I LOVE garlic and used to eat it in abundance but unfortunately it doesnt love me anymore because now when I eat it I get terribly thirsty and cant sleep because of it!!! Can you believe it! Nice shot, but I might have removed some of the outer layers of paperlike skin to get more of the clove texture? Try it with less covering and maybe the head broken open to reveal each clove?
I think the best part of this shot is the excellent lighting that you have managed to capture. It really lights the garlic up very well and gives it a classy feel.
Excellent idea, I agree with Lori's comments maybe peeling a little of the layers down a bit would have added that little bit extra....look forward to seeing if you try anymore shots with the garlic!
