Another shot of Paignton harbour, this time from a different angle and in better weather ;-)

The best time to get a night shot is when you have a bit of light in the sky still so that the lights arent so glaring and causing the blow out you can see. Try it again a bit earlier and do a few shots over a period of an hour or two as it gets darker, changing your settings of course and I am sure you will see what I am talking about.

I used to shoot night shots of houses for realtors (estate agents) in South Africa, and I found this was the best time, turn on all the lights in the house and just at dusk start shooting and bracketing until the light had gone in the sky.
