The Beach (6/30)

Day 6 of 30 days of "Where I Live". This shot was taken standing here, I have rotated the map so that it shows the orientation of the image (pointing up).

This is the shingle at the top of Paignton beach which will eventually be worn down to make our deep red sand. The bokeh in the distance is Torquay, on the far right of which is (you guessed it) Thatchers Rock, The pier is behind and to the right of where this was taken.

Very nice perspective. I like that there are shells among the rocks, just rocks and more rocks on our beaches here.

I like the seashells as well. Torquay Bay must be beautiful as well. Maybe one day you will be around to bring us some shots from there.

This is so great... I love all the colors and shapes in the rocks... and like has been mentioned, this perspective is perfect. You're capturing where you live in such an expressive way....

I like the perspective on this shot and it brings back memories of my stay in England and my visits to numerous beaches there, all those pebbles and shells. Very unlike the beaches in South Africa which are all fine sand.

It also has great variance in colors and shapes.
