I really dont like the fact that special days get promoted a month ahead of time. Its just crazy and makes it not seem so specail. I do like the black background and the isolation the negative space that is used in your photo.

I agree - they start everything too early. It's not just the holidays, it's every event. "Back to School" start as soon as the year ends, Christmas starts in September....it's crazy and I, too, get sick of seeing it all for months in advance.
My first job was working in a retail store and the Christmas merchandise and music seemed to last forever. It really did take all of the enjoyment out of the holiday.
