I caught my wife painting some walls today, shame she wasnt doing it when the Light on White challenge was running...

I have spent most of today recreating my blog template in XML, hopefully you should notice little difference from the old blog, but if you find anything is broken please let me know ;-)

HDR

Many hours on trains and waiting around for appointments meant it was dark before I got a chance to take any photos today while I was in London. This is a three shot HDR of one of the few I did get, though I'm not sure it (the HDR, tone mapping bit) really worked very well...

Real Fire

We had our old gas fire removed (finally) before christmas, now we can have lovely warm open fires. Much nicer to look at and very much better for the environment ;-)

Experimental Me

Experimenting with overlays in PS

Edited to add: I used a photo of some old messed up paintwork and pasted it into a layer over the self portrait, then I set the layer to overlay and fiddled with the opacity until I was happy with how it looked. Finally I desaturated the whole picture a bit, I just thought it looked better. This is the overlay I used.

Here in the UK the sun sets at about 4:15pm on new years day. Having had a bit of a lie in after last nights festivities it was quite late by the time we went for our customary new years day walk on the beach. In fact, the sun had set by the time I took this photo, the reflection on the water is from the moon...

2007 Photo Blog

2007 is now just around the corner and I am going to try again to make a picture a day blog.

Given Up For This Year :(

Well, my computer came back, unfortunately it was still borked so I have decided to give up my PAD project for this year. I will probably post photos every now and again but not every day.

I just got an email telling me I should get my computer back sometime next week... Hopefully it will work properly this time around and I can get on with doing this PAD.
